Librarians today have to learn a lot in order to promote awareness of their programs and services. Opportunities to market their libraries in the real world such as traditional media : newspaper, brochures, newsletter, television, radio, pathfinders. Libraries and librarians now are stepping up to the plate on how to spread the world online using social media such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and blogs. Here's my picks for the Emerging Influential Blogs:

1. Definitely Librarian http://definitelylibrarian.blogspot.com/ - This is a librarian's blog. Stereotyped librarians? Nah! Librarian's nowadays are using social media in promoting programs and services.
2. Wazzup Pilipinas http://www.wazzuppilipinas.com/- This is a community blog. It is like a guide to the spectacular events and awesome happenings in the Philippines. It contains informative, "controversial", educational and even social issues in the Philippines.

3. Social Media PH http://socialmediaph.net/-  A guide on using social media. You may read tips on blogging, secrets in branding and the like. Hmmm... as a newbie blogger, I think I have to follow this blog!

4. Curly Dianne  http://www.curlydianne.com/- A blog that features sports especially about running and her own experiences. She also blogs about lifestyle, food, entertainment and movie reviews.

5. A Letter Writer  http://aletterwriter.com/ - In today's social media age, I could count a few of those who are writing letters personally without copying and pasting it. I love writing and reading letters! You can read in her blog the different kind of letters. :)

6. If You Look Closely, Stu Traveled! http://stutraveled.blogspot.com/ - a lifestyle blog that features in and out of the Metro Manila. What impressed me is that this blog is owned by a student.

7.  San Josenyong Gala http://sanjosenyonggala.blogspot.com/ - This is a travel blog. It also promotes Philippine Tourism. If you have plans on travelling in the Philippines, this blog is for you.

9. Elymentary Kid http://elymentarykid.com/ - If you are looking for a happy and good vibes blog, then this is for you! :)

10. Business What Ifs http://businesswhatifs.com/ - This blog is for entrepreneurs with short attention spans! Hahaha! Because most people who are into business doesn't like to be wasting their time. What I like in this blog? I admit I am impatient too... this blog doesn't have long post. Each blog is less than 200 words. No "palabok". Less words but full of information.
